Nichola Stott – managing director

On joining Yahoo! in 2005 as senior search business development manager, Nichola fell in love with search – finding a natural aptitude for the search business, and was soon promoted to head of UK commercial search partners; leaving in March 2009 to found theMediaFlow.
Following the launch of theMediaFlow in May 2009, Nichola quickly established a reputation as a leading search-industry speaker and writer and is a regular contributor to SearchEngineWatch, SEO-Chicks, Econsultancy and State of Search.
In her spare time, Nichola confesses to being a bit of a gym-addict and amateur cook; claiming to make the world’s best guacamole. Her favourite film of all time is Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
Peter Handley – director SEO
Peter has over 5 years experience in search engine optimisation. Working on a range of campaigns in both b2b and b2c environments, Pete has worked in the medical, insurance and financial, email marketing sectors and a range of ecommerce stores.
Starting in SEO as a graduate, he quickly rose through the ranks in his previous role, managing and retaining a number of core clients. Peter also spent 3 years running search engine optimisation strategies overseeing a team running well over 100 campaigns.
Pete is also a keen amateur cook and avid film-goer. His favourite movie of all time is Pulp Fiction.
Sarah Carling – senior search consultant
Former head of SEO at Bloom Media, Sarah has been working in search marketing since 2006, when her career in sales brought her into a role selling web development and search services. It became clear that her sales experience and knowledge of consumer behaviour could be put to use in the SEO and social media disciplines; and since moving into search Sarah has quickly built an excellent reputation, and also blogs alongside Nichola at SEO-Chicks, (where the two first met).
Sarah has an analytical approach to SEO, combined with excellent project management skills, and has worked both client and agency side, applying her philosophy that SEO can be best effected through client education and empowerment.
In her spare time, Sarah is an excellent knitter and enjoys spending some time on her spinning wheel pretending the internet hasn’t been invented yet (or the steam engine for that matter). Her favourite film is Little Women, though she prefers the parchment version.
